After 18 played minutes Cavalo Crioulo FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Eduardo Dantas. When Genílson Gonçalves fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Concepción FC's protests and gave Genílson Gonçalves a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cavalo Crioulo FC booed when Concepción FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genílson Gonçalves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Faustão de Sousa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedro Paulo Torres. Concepción FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Luís Eduardo Dantas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Paulo Torres. Concepción FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Eduardo Dantas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Eduardo Dantas in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Paulo Torres saved Concepción FC from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Eduardo Dantas in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Paulo Torres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 29th minute of the match, Diego Chaves tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Clóvis de Lara saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Luís Eduardo Dantas scored 0-3 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Paulo Torres, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dan Coidum hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After 41 played minutes Cavalo Crioulo FC got a freekick which was hit by Dan Coidum. After the first half Cavalo Crioulo FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Concepción FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cavalo Crioulo FC the free kick. Luís Eduardo Dantas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Pedro Paulo Torres when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 74 minutes into the game, Antoni Rosen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cavalo Crioulo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Concepción FC the free kick. Antoni Rosen kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Genílson Gonçalves hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Luís Eduardo Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out.
