João Francisco Bueno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Umberto Velloso having to interfere. AS Novelli's Umberto Velloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gino Silva in the 7th minute of play. 9 minutes into the game, Ricardinho dos Santos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Target Bet FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AS Novelli the free kick. After 10 played minutes AS Novelli got a freekick which was hit by Ademar Ferraz. In the 14th minute, Gino Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Umberto Velloso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hélio Pimenta's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. João Francisco Bueno took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Umberto Velloso. Umberto Velloso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Umberto Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Francisco Bueno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute Gino Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Umberto Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel Capixaba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luan Cardozo having to interfere. Umberto Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gino Silva in the 33rd minute of play. After 35 played minutes Target Bet FC got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Pernambucano. The audience was convinced that João Francisco Bueno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Umberto Velloso was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Hélio Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Umberto Velloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 40 minutes of play, Target Bet FC's Gino Silva made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Umberto Velloso was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Target Bet FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gino Silva to make the kick off. When Marcelinho Tepedino came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the AS Novelli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelinho Tepedino couldn't finish the play. Tadeu Monteiro's late challenge caught a AS Novelli's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tadeu Monteiro helped the player get up and apologised. Tadeu Monteiro kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeferson Lago during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Guto de Castro missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 62 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Umberto Velloso right hand side. João Francisco Bueno's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 64thth minute, Umberto Velloso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Gino Silva put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Umberto Velloso. Umberto Velloso had great luck who in the 73rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Gino Silva from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. AS Novelli's Umberto Velloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gino Silva in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th match minute, Target Bet FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Pernambucano to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, AS Novelli's Umberto Velloso got control of the ball when João Francisco Bueno tried to sneak it across the goal line. João Francisco Buenos short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Umberto Velloso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 82nd minute, AS Novelli's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after João Francisco Bueno fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Hélio Pimenta hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute, Cipriano Pernambucano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 91 minutes, João Francisco Bueno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Target Bet FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Francisco Bueno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Gino Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 95 played minutes AS Novelli got a freekick which was hit by Marcelinho Tepedino. After recieving a nice pass, Target Bet FC's Eurico Souza tried to score from far away in the 98th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
