Bernardinho Vale came out of the goal and Yan Sanches tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind 102 Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Richard Mendes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Téo Bertassi came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Lua Sporting fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Téo Bertassi couldn't finish the play. Cássio Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Carlos Cardozo struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Richard Mendes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lua Sporting. Lua Sporting's José Carlos Cardozo got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Cássio Pinheiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Richard Mendes. 102 Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cássio Pinheiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. If Cássio Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cássio Pinheiro to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, José Carlos Cardozo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lua Sporting's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Carlos Cardozo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cássio Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Richard Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chiquinho Velloso in the 70th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, César Freire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cássio Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Mendes having to interfere. Cássio Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Richard Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Téo Bertassi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Richard Mendes was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Cássio Pinheiro sped through 102 Futebol Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Richard Mendes. Cássio Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
