Spectators: 7207 (Terracing: 5407, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 143) Gaston Cebrian started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 5 played minutes EC Bahia got a freekick which was hit by Reinaldo Moreira. 10 minutes into the game, Duarte Gonçalves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Valdir dos Santos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Gaston Cebrian came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the WIND CASTLE RS - BRASIL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaston Cebrian couldn't finish the play. After having played for 23 minutes, Dino Braga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. WIND CASTLE RS - BRASIL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dino Braga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Reinaldo Moreira hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Jonas Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaston Cebrian in the 25th minute of play. Gaston Cebrians short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Jonas Velasco to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 37th minute, EC Bahia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gaston Cebrian fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in EC Bahia's zone, Gaston Cebrian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas Velasco came out of the goal and Gaston Cebrian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After a rather tough play, WIND CASTLE RS - BRASIL's Giovanni Soeiro got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Eduardo Castro's late challenge caught a WIND CASTLE RS - BRASIL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eduardo Castro helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to EC Bahia getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Eduardo Castro hit a great ball. Gaston Cebrian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Jonas Velasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Duarte Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir dos Santos having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duarte Gonçalves in the 68th minute of play forced WIND CASTLE RS - BRASIL's goalkeeper Valdir dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in WIND CASTLE RS - BRASIL's zone, Duarte Gonçalves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdir dos Santos came out of the goal and Duarte Gonçalves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonas Velasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaston Cebrian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 84 minutes, Dino Braga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the WIND CASTLE RS - BRASIL and the EC Bahia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Duarte Gonçalves was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 85th minute. EC Bahia's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Valdir dos Santos made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Juninho Linhares sent off a good shot on target. Gaston Cebrian struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Jonas Velasco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for WIND CASTLE RS - BRASIL. Valdir dos Santos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juninho Linhares in the 95th minute. When the final whistle went the supporters of EC Bahia were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant WIND CASTLE RS - BRASIL side.
