When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Umberto Gerber sped through Hot Dog's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Andrézinho Gaspar. Umberto Gerber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Andrézinho Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Hot Dog booed when Chambivas SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Umberto Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute of the game, Felippe Félix landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Jardel Maranhense charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jardel Maranhense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Hot Dog booed when Chambivas SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jardel Maranhense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gonçalo Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Almir Rodrigues in the 22nd minute of play forced Chambivas SC's goalkeeper Faustão Cavalcante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cipriano Quintal's late challenge caught a Hot Dog's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cipriano Quintal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd minute, Cipriano Quintal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute, Pedro Luís Albuquerque got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Faustão Cavalcante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luís Albuquerque in the 27th minute of play. Hot Dog's Andrézinho Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jardel Maranhense in the 29th minute of play. Jardel Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrézinho Gaspar having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jardel Maranhense in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrézinho Gaspar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pedro Luís Albuquerque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Umberto Gerber recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Umberto Gerber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Andrézinho Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jardel Maranhense was the one to do the kick off. Umberto Gerber's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andrézinho Gaspar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. After 69 played minutes, Chambivas SC's Samuca Paraíba shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Andrézinho Gaspar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chambivas SC reached it. Pedro Luís Albuquerques short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Faustão Cavalcante to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Umberto Gerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gonçalo Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. A collision led to Hot Dog getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Gonçalo Gonçalves hit a great ball. Samuca Paraíba took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Andrézinho Gaspar. Hot Dog's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Hot Dog players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Chambivas SC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
