After having played for 4 minutes, Luís Vander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pacu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Vander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlinhos Valadares charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlinhos Valadares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Expressinho getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Carlinhos Valadares hit a great ball. In the 7th match minute, Expressinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dagoberto Pereira to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute Luís Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emílio Rosado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Vander struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Emílio Rosado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pacu. Expressinho's Emílio Rosado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wiliam Pena in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Luís Vander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Pacu's Wiliam Pena got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 26th minute Luís Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emílio Rosado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Vander in the 30th minute of play forced Expressinho's goalkeeper Emílio Rosado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wiliam Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the match, Luís Vander notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Expressinho's Emílio Rosado. Emílio Rosado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luís Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Artur Vaz made a kick off. Jânio Cunha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 54th minute, Genílson Félix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. During the 55th minute of the match Dagoberto Pereira completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Dagoberto Pereira a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 56th match minute, Expressinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dagoberto Pereira to maneuver through the defense. When José Paulo Valadares fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Expressinho's protests and gave José Paulo Valadares a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Expressinho getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. In the 67th minute, Isaltino Pernambucano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute, Pacu's Claudinho da Silveira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Emílio Rosado. Emílio Rosado yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Luís Vander struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Emílio Rosado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pacu. After a rather tough play, Expressinho's Artur Vaz got a free kick in the 76th minute. Luís Vander who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Emílio Rosado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ronaldão Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Vinhas, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Expressinho were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Pacu's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mathias Trancoso took the corner. The corner ended in Mathias Trancoso almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pacu's Ronaldão Varela did a great save. Pacu's Claudinho da Silveira managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Olavo Lopes in the 85 minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Vander in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emílio Rosado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luís Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Emílio Rosado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Luís Vander notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Expressinho's Emílio Rosado. Pacu played a much better game than Expressinho and deserved their victory. The Expressinho players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
