Frank Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gotham City's Frank Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvinho Barros in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Faustão Carneiro saved Gotham City from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Gotham City's Glauco Paranaense slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zé Paulo Souto. That made the score 1-0 after 17 minutes of play. Frank Rocha in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zé Paulo Souto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Glauco Paranaense fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gotham City's protests and gave Glauco Paranaense a yellow card for diving instead. Glauco Paranaense kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After 29 played minutes Gotham City got a freekick which was hit by Hamílton Araújo. 31 minutes into the match, Frank Rocha notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Vikings FC's Zé Paulo Souto. Zé Paulo Souto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vikings FC's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Souto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Frank Rocha in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zé Paulo Souto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With his leg Zé Paulo Souto managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Gotham City's Jorge Fernandes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jorge Fernandes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Zé Paulo Souto made a huge save. Frank Rocha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Zé Paulo Souto made a huge save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Rocha was the one to do the kick off. Jorge Fernandes struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Zé Paulo Souto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gotham City. Zé Paulo Souto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gil do Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gil do Nascimento struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Zé Paulo Souto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gotham City. After 89 played minutes Vikings FC got a freekick which was hit by Genílson Senna. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Rocha in the 93rd minute of play forced Vikings FC's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Souto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gotham City walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
