Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. João Pedro Pernambucano started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute, Waldemar Motta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Cássio Camargo came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Camassary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cássio Camargo couldn't finish the play. Eliseu Pombal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Frank Valladares made a huge save. Eliseu Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Valladares having to interfere. Cássio Camargo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute, João Pedro Pernambucano made a precise shot to the right of Igor Paranaense. Camassary's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. With a little luck, Grêmio dos Canudos EC's Frank Valladares got control of the ball when Eliseu Pombal tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Cássio Camargo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Eliseu Pombal got free in front of the goal in the 35th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Frank Valladares was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Cássio Camargo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cássio Camargo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Frank Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliseu Pombal got free with Frank Valladares in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

51 minutes into the match, Eliseu Pombal notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Grêmio dos Canudos EC's Frank Valladares. Frank Valladares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Frank Valladares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cássio Camargo, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Pedro Pernambucano in the 65th minute of play forced Camassary's goalkeeper Igor Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camassary's Igor Paranaense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Camassary from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Grêmio dos Canudos EC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Chico Teixeira hit a great ball. Chico Teixeira kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Cássio Camargo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frank Valladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio Camargo in the 85th minute of the match. Cássio Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Valladares having to interfere.
