Luís Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Raimundo Sarmento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hugo Capixaba scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raimundo Sarmento, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Hugo Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aloísio Pereira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raphael Mineiro in the 21st minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Jaudilandia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Silveira came free, but Raimundo Sarmento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Delfim de Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 32 minutes, Luís Silveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PELADEIRO F.C. and the Jaudilandia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to PELADEIRO F.C. getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Luís Silveira hit a great ball. With a little luck, PELADEIRO F.C.'s Aloísio Pereira got control of the ball when Mazinho Cosme tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Mazinho Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raimundo Sarmento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Hugo Capixaba came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the PELADEIRO F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Capixaba couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Jaudilandia FC's zone, Hugo Capixaba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Sarmento came out of the goal and Hugo Capixaba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hugo Capixaba to strike the kick off in the second half. When Vânderson Soares came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the PELADEIRO F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vânderson Soares couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of Jaudilandia FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of PELADEIRO F.C.:s goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vânderson Soares during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to PELADEIRO F.C. getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Vânderson Soares hit a great ball. Luís Silveira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raimundo Sarmento having to make a save. Jaudilandia FC's Raimundo Sarmento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Jaudilandia FC from getting a goal against them. Dráuzio Furlan's late challenge caught a PELADEIRO F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dráuzio Furlan helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of PELADEIRO F.C. booed when Jaudilandia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráuzio Furlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute, Hugo Capixaba fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Hugo Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aloísio Pereira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raphael Mineiro in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Luís Silveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 89 played minutes Hugo Capixaba rounded Jaudilandia FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. In the 94th minute, Renato Carioca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
