The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christian Guimarães showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Real Vitinho's Christian Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telmo de Andrade in the 21st minute of play. Telmo de Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Guimarães having to interfere. In the 25th match minute, Real Vitinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvaldo Coutinho to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute, Carlinhos Simão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Real Vitinho players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Usina da Tijuca F.C. were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Telmo de Andrade to make the kick off. In the 57thth minute of the game Anderson Novaes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Usina da Tijuca F.C.'s Danilo Severo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Telmo de Andrade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christian Guimarães was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. With a little luck, Real Vitinho's Christian Guimarães got control of the ball when Carlinhos Simão tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 91 minutes, Telmo de Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Usina da Tijuca F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Telmo de Andrade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christian Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Telmo de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Usina da Tijuca F.C.'s Carlinhos Simão got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Real Vitinho fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Usina da Tijuca F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
