Francisco Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldir Paranaense in the 5th minute of play. Francisco Teixeira came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Templarius FC - FDFDF's Giovani Sá. But to his dismay, Giovani Sá quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Francisco Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvério Paulista, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glauco Lucas in the 16th minute of play forced Super Mengão's goalkeeper Francisco Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Waldir Paranaense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Francisco Teixeira. Super Mengão's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Waldir Paranaense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Francisco Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvério Paulista in the 25th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Templarius FC - FDFDF's Silvério Paulista got a free kick in the 28th minute. Geovani Corrêa in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Juninho Perez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 31st minute, Silvério Paulista made a precise shot to the right of Francisco Teixeira. Super Mengão's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Giovani Sá in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francisco Teixeira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 41 minutes into the game, Templarius FC - FDFDF's Silvério Paulista nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Francisco Teixeira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. After the first half Templarius FC - FDFDF were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Waldir Paranaense was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Super Mengão's goalkeeper Francisco Teixeira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giovani Sá. Waldir Paranaense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Francisco Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Super Mengão's Francisco Teixeira got control of the ball when Glauco Lucas tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 67th match minute, Super Mengão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albertinho Custódio to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the match, Super Mengão's goalkeeper Francisco Teixeira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Glauco Lucas. In the 74th minute Silvério Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The coaching staff of Super Mengão protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sidnei Carvalho had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 85 minutes into the game, one of Super Mengão:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Waldir Paranaense placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! If Geovani Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvério de Almeida charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvério de Almeida the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Francisco Teixeira made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Giovani Sá sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Waldir Paranaense's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francisco Teixeira was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Templarius FC - FDFDF's Juninho Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvério de Almeida in the 95th minute of play. With a little luck, Super Mengão's Francisco Teixeira got control of the ball when Giovani Sá tried to sneak it across the goal line. Templarius FC - FDFDF's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
