With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Leão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Luciano Fonseca fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sao Cristovao's protests and gave Luciano Fonseca a yellow card for diving instead. Luciano Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Luciano Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Daniel Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The corner led Sao Cristovao's Geraldo Lago to fire away a dangerous shot which Daniel Leão despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 39th minute, Luciano Albuquerque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiago Gabriel Arantes in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Leão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in MINAÇU F.C's zone, Tiago Gabriel Arantes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Leão came out of the goal and Tiago Gabriel Arantes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tiago Gabriel Arantes to make the kick off. MINAÇU F.C's Daniel Leão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save MINAÇU F.C from getting a goal against them. Basílio de Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Gabriel Arantes in the 58th minute of play. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Tiago Gabriel Arantes sped through MINAÇU F.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Daniel Leão. When the match was over Sao Cristovao could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than MINAÇU F.C throughout the match.
