To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Olavo Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duda Diniz in the 14th minute of the match. After 15 played minutes Sumemo FC got a freekick which was hit by Raphael Paraibano. Olavo Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Pernambucano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonardo Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Duda Diniz struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Norberto Pernambucano might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olavo Baptista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Norberto Pernambucano ran back to his position shaking his head. EC Copero y Peleador's Mathias Negri got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antônio Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olavo Baptista having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mathias Negri to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Sumemo FC's zone, Duda Diniz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olavo Baptista came out of the goal and Duda Diniz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Olavo Baptista was a little too slow when Mathias Negri got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 0-2. EC Copero y Peleador's Zé Roberto Jacinto was substituted for Cláudio França. Antônio Tavares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olavo Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto Pernambucano in the 71st minute of the match. Olavo Baptista was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Duda Diniz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olavo Baptista read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Sumemo FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Duda Diniz 98 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4.
