Jaya F.C - standy by's Sidney Passos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Carlos Pombal in the 13th minute of play. The supporters of Tucunupi FC booed when Jaya F.C - standy by was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Paulo Bueno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wanderson Koehler hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After 21 minutes of play, Jaya F.C - standy by's Daniel Toscano made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Célio Lago was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 30 played minutes Jaya F.C - standy by got a freekick which was hit by João Paulo Bueno. After a rather tough play, Tucunupi FC's Alfredinho Freitas got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Silvinho Messias's shot from long distance in the 34th minute was not bad at all, but Tucunupi FC's Célio Lago knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Daniel Toscano might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Célio Lago. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Toscano ran back to his position shaking his head. 38 minutes into the match, Falcão Furlan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Célio Lago, 2-1. Falcão Furlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Toscano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Célio Lago made a huge save. When João Paulo Bueno fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jaya F.C - standy by's protests and gave João Paulo Bueno a yellow card for diving instead. After 46 played minutes Jaya F.C - standy by got a freekick which was hit by João Paulo Bueno. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luiz Paulo Ramos to strike the kick off in the second half. Jaya F.C - standy by's Falcão Furlan got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 55 minutes, Daniel Toscano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jaya F.C - standy by's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Toscano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Célio Lago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Falcão Furlan in the 58th minute of the match. If Falcão Furlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sidney Passos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Ramos in the 63rd minute of play. Falcão Furlan scored 3-1 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Célio Lago, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Jaya F.C - standy by getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Humberto Massa hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 77th minute by Antônio Carlos Pombal got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antônio Carlos Pombal got free with Sidney Passos in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jaya F.C - standy by's João Paulo Bueno got his second yellow card of the match in the 84th minute. The referee ordered João Paulo Bueno off the ground. In the 86th minute of the match Pedro Luís Furtado shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sidney Passos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 96th minute, Daniel Toscano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
