Collectoria SS's Clemente Sanches got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Collectoria SS booed when Celeste SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Léo Mesquita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celeste SC's André Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Baptista in the 29th minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hílton Paraíba made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Júlio Furlan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gernando Neto. Collectoria SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Júlio Furlan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Hílton Paraíba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gernando Neto having to interfere. Celeste SC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Collectoria SS for a fine match.
