The referee ignored Raffas Sport Clube's protests and gave Elder Rosa a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Raffas Sport Clube's Elder Rosa got a free kick in the 6th minute. A hard and well directed shot from Kauã Rosa led 7 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Raffas Sport Clube's Jailson Berger became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Raffas Sport Clube's zone, Gerson Veiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jailson Berger came out of the goal and Gerson Veiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elder Rosa hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Jailson Berger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorival Messias in the 21st minute of play. Gerson Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Dorival Messias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jailson Berger was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Hugo Britto charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hugo Britto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th minute, Hugo Britto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Diego Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raffas Sport Clube's Diego Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ronaldinho Melo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 35th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Gerson Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jailson Berger having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Almir Seco made the kick off in the second half. Raffas Sport Clube were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Braga FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rodriguinho Varela took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Rodriguinho Varela got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ronaldinho Melo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 55 minutes, Laerte Maciel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Raffas Sport Clube and the Braga FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 58 minutes into the match, Raffas Sport Clube's Diego Abreu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronaldinho Melo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Túlio Santos hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After 64 minutes of play Raffas Sport Clube's Elder Rosa was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Elder Rosa kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the game, Arí Koehler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Raffas Sport Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Braga FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Raffas Sport Clube's Arí Koehler got a free kick in the 66th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Gerson Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Braga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerson Veiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jailson Berger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Raffas Sport Clube's Almir Seco got a free kick in the 68th minute. 69 minutes in the game, Gerson Veiga fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jailson Berger having to interfere. Diego Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Ronaldinho Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 73 minutes, Túlio Santos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Braga FC and the Raffas Sport Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th match minute, Raffas Sport Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Almir Seco to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Braga FC's Kauã Rosa tried to score from far away in the 77th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Ronaldinho Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Abreu in the 81st minute of play. The supporters of Braga FC booed when Raffas Sport Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitório Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute of the match Kauã Rosa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jailson Berger skillfully saved the ball. Ronaldinho Melo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the match, Dorival Messias dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jailson Berger, 1-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Braga FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
