The referee ignored Pirracao's protests and gave Wilson Corrêa a yellow card for diving instead. Descalvados made a substitution. Giovanni da Fonseca replaced Dedé Zilles. Wilson Corrêa hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Luiz Eduardo Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giovanni da Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aleandro Mesquita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro das Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Hamílton Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Aleandro Mesquita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Régis Machado in the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Descalvados's goalkeeper Aleandro Mesquita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro das Neves. The supporters of Pirracao booed when Descalvados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giovanni da Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the game, Sérgio Lucas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Descalvados's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pirracao the free kick. A collision led to Descalvados getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Sérgio Lucas hit a great ball. Pirracao's João Francisco Cruz shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 29th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Aleandro Mesquita but with some difficulty. Vladimir Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleandro Mesquita having to interfere. Cristóvão de Mendonça hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute of the match, Régis Machado tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aleandro Mesquita saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Aleandro Mesquita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Régis Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Pedro das Neves scored 1-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aleandro Mesquita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Régis Machado in the 74th minute of play forced Descalvados's goalkeeper Aleandro Mesquita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Pedro Moura took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luiz Eduardo Sousa. Pirracao's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Pedro das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. When the referee ended the match the Pirracao players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
