After having played for 4 minutes, Gugu de Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guata EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gugu de Lara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute Gugu de Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natã Mineiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Perivaldo Xavier got free with Natã Mineiro in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th match minute, Guama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cauan Lago to maneuver through the defense. Oscar da Silveira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Natã Mineiro. Guama's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Guama booed when Guata EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Vinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Perivaldo Xavier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natã Mineiro having to interfere. When Silvério Toledo, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 33 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Romeu Valadares was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Guama were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Guata EC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tales Porto took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Tales Porto got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Romeu Valadares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvério Toledo in the 47th minute of play forced Guata EC's goalkeeper Romeu Valadares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silvério Toledo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Perivaldo Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Natã Mineiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perivaldo Xavier in the 54th minute of the match. After 55 minutes, Artur de Amorim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guama and the Guata EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 55 played minutes Guama got a freekick which was hit by Artur de Amorim. Guata EC's Oscar da Silveira couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 56th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Guama. Artur de Amorim got his second yellow card in the match during the 59th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Guama getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Artur de Amorim hit a great ball. When Lúcio Faria was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 66 minutes had been played. Lúcio Faria hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Oscar da Silveira, 68 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Gugu de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Natã Mineiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Perivaldo Xavier went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After having played for 87 minutes, Gugu de Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guata EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gugu de Lara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Gugu de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Guata EC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
