Spectators: 7201 (Terracing: 5402, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jânio Freitas started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute Jânio Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matheus Gerber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th match minute, Tiraninhos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jânio Freitas to maneuver through the defense. Valdir Secco might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Laerte Salles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valdir Secco ran back to his position shaking his head. Pedro Augusto de Queiroz was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 18 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute there was a penalty for Tiraninhos FC. Raimundo de Almeida stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Matheus Gerber. 0-1. Pirangy FC's Matheus Gerber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Novaes in the 22nd minute of play. If Artur Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27thth minute of the game Artur Novaes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pirangy FC's Matheus Gerber was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Novaes in the 30th minute of play forced Pirangy FC's goalkeeper Matheus Gerber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Zé Carlos Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Novaes in the 34th minute of play forced Pirangy FC's goalkeeper Matheus Gerber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 36 minutes of play, Tiraninhos FC's Jânio Freitas made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matheus Gerber was left in no man's land by his defense there! 46 minutes into the match, Pirangy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jânio Freitas came free, but Matheus Gerber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Pirangy FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tiraninhos FC were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valdir Secco to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, one of Pirangy FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Artur Novaes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Matheus Gerber made a huge save. Zé Carlos Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Laerte Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laerte Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdir Secco in the 60th minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, Igor Arruda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tiraninhos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pirangy FC the free kick. After 62 played minutes Tiraninhos FC got a freekick which was hit by Igor Arruda. In the 62nd minute, Valdir Secco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pirangy FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. After 66 played minutes Tiraninhos FC got a freekick which was hit by Falcão Ceresso. Valdir Secco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Celso Valle struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Laerte Salles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pirangy FC. After having played for 83 minutes, Valdir Secco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pirangy FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdir Secco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 89th minute there was a penalty for Pirangy FC. Agnaldo Bittencourt stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Laerte Salles. 2-4. After 92 played minutes Pirangy FC got a freekick which was hit by Zé Carlos Paraibano. If Artur Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chants of Tiraninhos FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Pirangy FC had held the ball for most of the match.
