But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romário Andrade couldn't finish the play. If Dário de Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. S.C Tangará's José Carlos Andrade shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 10th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Lucas Paraibano but with some difficulty. Delfim Freire struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Lucas Paraibano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.C Tangará. S.C Tangará's Dário de Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, Zandonadi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dário de Azevedo came free, but Lucas Paraibano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of S.C Tangará booed when Zandonadi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chico Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Delfim Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind S.C Tangará's goalkeeper Váldson Pinho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Romário Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the game, Baltazar Luz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The referee gave Zandonadi FC a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Emanuel Cavalcante, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of S.C Tangará's Váldson Pinho. 0-1. Váldson Pinho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 78th minute, José Carlos da Mata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, S.C Tangará's Váldson Pinho got control of the ball when José Carlos da Mata tried to sneak it across the goal line.
