Spectators: 7194 (Terracing: 5397, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 143) Felizburgo's Amauri Guerra started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Jano Sarmento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nacional fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Guto Sena took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Víktor do Valle. Felizburgo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Amauri Guerra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enio Bertassi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Víktor do Valle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dorian Trancoso went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 20 minutes Felizburgo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Guto Sena who took care of the corner kick. If William Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Lopes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Enio Bertassi made a huge save. Felizburgo's Víktor do Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorian Trancoso in the 34th minute of play. Luiz Fábio Velloso hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Amauri Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Enio Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beto de Castro in the 41st minute of play forced Felizburgo's goalkeeper Víktor do Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dorian Trancoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Felizburgo getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Zé Pedro da Rocha hit a great ball. In the 47th minute, Dorian Trancoso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Víktor do Valle was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dorian Trancoso was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Felizburgo's zone, Dorian Trancoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Víktor do Valle came out of the goal and Dorian Trancoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64thth minute of the game Ricardo Lopes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nacional's Enio Bertassi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Enio Bertassi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Fábio Velloso kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Enio Bertassi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ricardo Lopes went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Nacional's Enio Bertassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amauri Guerra in the 87th minute of play. After having played for 91 minutes, Dorian Trancoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nacional's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dorian Trancoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. William Pontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Víktor do Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enio Bertassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. The Nacional supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Nacional would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
