After having played for 25 minutes, Aílton Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goleta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aílton Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in BladeBoy FC's zone, Aílton Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egídio Campidelis came out of the goal and Aílton Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of BladeBoy FC booed when Goleta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gualter Pimenta kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Aílton Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edgard Mazza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Egídio Campidelis made a huge save. Edgard Mazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute, Nilson Coutinho sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Goleta FC's Albertinho Mota didn't even have to move. Edgard Mazza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Egídio Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goleta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Egídio Faria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Egídio Campidelis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cássio da Cunha in the 75th minute of play forced BladeBoy FC's goalkeeper Egídio Campidelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the game, Zeca Porto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BladeBoy FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Goleta FC the free kick. If Aílton Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Egídio Faria might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Egídio Campidelis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Egídio Faria ran back to his position shaking his head. Edgard Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egídio Campidelis having to interfere. Egídio Campidelis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Egídio Campidelis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio da Cunha in the 96th minute of the match. 98 minutes had been played when some careless play by BladeBoy FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gilmar Esteves was slow to take the kick. During this time Goleta FC's players had a chance to rest. Gilberto Pinheiro thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Egídio Campidelis, a very annoying self made goal in the 98th minute which led to 3-1. Goleta FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
