The referee showed Tarcisio Vergílio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Moisés Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Tavares in the 7th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cariuacanga's Willian Abraão got a free kick in the 17th minute. Tomás Marquez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cariuacanga's attentive Willian Abraão managed to snatch the ball when Anselmo Meirelles made a throw-in in the 25th minute of the game. 25 minutes into the match, Sampaio Correa AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Willian Abraão came free, but Moisés Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Alfredão Vaz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cariuacanga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 33 minutes into the game, Cariuacanga's Anselmo Rezende nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Moisés Rodrigues made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willian Abraão in the 41st minute of play forced Sampaio Correa AFC's goalkeeper Moisés Rodrigues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Júlio Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Moisés Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Cariuacanga were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomás Marquez made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Sampaio Correa AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tarcisio Vergílio to maneuver through the defense. Cariuacanga's Willian Abraão quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Pedro Corrêa, made in the 54th minute of the game. Moisés Rodrigues made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Anselmo Rezende sent off a good shot on target. Sampaio Correa AFC's Moisés Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Rezende in the 58th minute of play. Pedro Corrêa kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Cariuacanga's Anselmo Rezende ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Moisés Rodrigues. Moisés Rodrigues yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Tarcisio Vergílio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafim da Cunha having to interfere. Tomás Marquez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Serafim da Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Moisés Rodrigues was a little too slow when Júlio Tavares got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 0-5. 82 minutes into the game, Willian Abraão recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Moisés Rodrigues. Willian Abraão showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. Jailson Luz hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Moisés Rodrigues didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Júlio Tavares went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score.
