The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Gustavo Teixeira got free with Narciso de Alcântara in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Giovani do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caio do Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. If Caio do Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adelino Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 23 minutes, Caio do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Charqueadense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caio do Valle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adelino Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Giovani do Vale came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Charqueadense's Adelino Hermes. But to his dismay, Adelino Hermes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Charqueadense's zone, Luís Gustavo Teixeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Narciso de Alcântara came out of the goal and Luís Gustavo Teixeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Pantanal FC booed when Charqueadense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diamantino Massa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 played minutes, Pantanal FC's Jano Moura shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Narciso de Alcântara came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pantanal FC reached it. 37 minutes into the match, Pantanal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adelino Hermes came free, but Giovani do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Adelino Hermes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Giovani do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dráusio Amaral in the 41st minute of the match. If Orlando Galvão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Caio do Valle to make the kick off. In the 69th minute, Caio do Valle fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Giovani do Vale, passed just outside the right post. Dráuzio Baptista made in the 74th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Elder Meireles immediately put the ball in play. In the 76th minute, Caio do Valle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Charqueadense left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Pantanal FC.
