Elói Coelho hit a great ball. 11 minutes into the match, Pedrinho Araújo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of caverna de adulão's Denílson Paraíba. Denílson Paraíba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in caverna de adulão's zone, Flavinho Breckenfeld stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Denílson Paraíba came out of the goal and Flavinho Breckenfeld tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Alberto Lira was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 16 minutes into the match. Carlos Eduardo Vander had in the 18thth minute some difficulties stopping Maurício Rosa's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 19th minute Filiberto Truylos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denílson Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arandu Taxi Clube's Flavinho Breckenfeld got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 24th minute Pedrinho Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denílson Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Flavinho Breckenfeld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavinho Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Denílson Paraíba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filiberto Truylos in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Denílson Paraíba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Flavinho Breckenfeld got free in front of the goal in the 30th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Denílson Paraíba was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in caverna de adulão's zone, Filiberto Truylos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Denílson Paraíba came out of the goal and Filiberto Truylos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Arandu Taxi Clube's Filiberto Truylos in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye caverna de adulão's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Filiberto Truylos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Denílson Paraíba was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Flavinho Breckenfeld struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Denílson Paraíba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arandu Taxi Clube. When Arandu Taxi Clube's Filiberto Truylos in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After the first half Arandu Taxi Clube were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Filiberto Truylos to make the kick off. After 52 minutes, César Godoi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the caverna de adulão and the Arandu Taxi Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Arandu Taxi Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedrinho Araújo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Denílson Paraíba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Denílson Paraíba was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Filiberto Truylos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 68 minute of play. Filiberto Truylos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denílson Paraíba having to interfere. Flavinho Breckenfeld who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Denílson Paraíba when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Flavinho Breckenfeld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denílson Paraíba came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Arandu Taxi Clube's Filiberto Truylos. But to his dismay, Filiberto Truylos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. When the final whistle sounded Arandu Taxi Clube left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than caverna de adulão.
