In the 30th match minute, Cabedelos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafinha Mota to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, Cabedelos's goal looked a bit too open when Kléberson Tavares came free, but Gilvan Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guto Favoretto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toninho Cerezo having to interfere. After 43 played minutes Beirao SS got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Ortiz. 45 minutes into the match, Cabedelos's Joaquim Paranaense sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Toninho Cerezo narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The wind increased when Zé Pedro Mineiro made the kick off in the second half. Adhemar Martins charged in rather forcefully in the 50th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adhemar Martins the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cabedelos getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Adhemar Martins hit a great ball. Kléberson Tavares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilvan Lara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Ismael Eger took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Toninho Cerezo. Beirao SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
