Spectators: 7310 (Terracing: 5484, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Juninho Medeiros started the match with the kick off. Toninho Cerezo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aloísio Rosa's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. 6 minutes into the match, Juninho Medeiros notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Beirao SS's Toninho Cerezo. Toninho Cerezo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Beirao SS getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Kléberson Tavares hit a great ball. Aloísio Rosa scored 0-2 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Toninho Cerezo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Beirao SS's Toninho Cerezo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder Rosado in the 28th minute of play. Gilvan Moraes hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Beirao SS's zone, Juninho Medeiros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toninho Cerezo came out of the goal and Juninho Medeiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juninho Medeiros in the 46th minute of play forced Beirao SS's goalkeeper Toninho Cerezo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zé Pedro Mineiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56thth minute of the game Hélder Rosado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Beirao SS's Toninho Cerezo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aloísio Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Toninho Cerezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Aloísio Rosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Toninho Cerezo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Toninho Cerezo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juninho Medeiros in the 68th minute of the match. Toninho Cerezo was a little too slow when Juninho Medeiros got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 0-5. In the 77th minute, Gilvan Moraes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Beirao SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Kléberson Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Moacir Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Pedro Mineiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute Juninho Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toninho Cerezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beirao SS's Toninho Cerezo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Beirao SS from getting a goal against them. In the 94th minute, Juninho Medeiros reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Toninho Cerezo. The goal made the score 1-6. The Beirao SS fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gameleira were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
