After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Fellipe Vinhas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cachorroes F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Fellipe Vinhas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrique Botelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice moves Moisés Sena could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Henrique Botelho however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Grêmio E. Cordovilense's Flavinho Meira got a free kick in the 25th minute. Moisés Sena hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Léo Koehler in the 29th minute of play forced Cachorroes F.C's goalkeeper Ulysses Sabóia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 30 minutes, Lino Saraiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grêmio E. Cordovilense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lino Saraiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Léo Koehler in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ulysses Sabóia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 1-1 became the score in the 38th minute when Léo Koehler elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Léo Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ulysses Sabóia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fellipe Vinhas to strike the kick off in the second half. If Lino Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 55 minutes into the game, one of Cachorroes F.C:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 56 minutes, Grêmio E. Cordovilense's Thiago Diniz got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ulysses Sabóia. In the 59th minute of the match, Lino Saraiva got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ulysses Sabóia was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Lino Saraiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulysses Sabóia having to interfere. Léo Koehler might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulysses Sabóia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Léo Koehler ran back to his position shaking his head. 77 minutes into the match, Moisés Sena notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Grêmio E. Cordovilense's Henrique Botelho. Henrique Botelho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lino Saraiva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ulysses Sabóia having to make a save. After 89 minutes, Gugu Paes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cachorroes F.C and the Grêmio E. Cordovilense players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gugu Paes hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. When Murilo Faria fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cachorroes F.C's protests and gave Murilo Faria a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Grêmio E. Cordovilense booed when Cachorroes F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murilo Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball.
