The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dino Netto helped the player get up and apologised. After 4 played minutes 2 de Julho EC got a freekick which was hit by Dino Netto. After 6 minutes, Fernandão Arósio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 2 de Julho EC and the AtlânticoBBS players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to 2 de Julho EC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Fernandão Arósio hit a great ball. 7 minutes into the match, AtlânticoBBS's Mathias Ceresso broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Carlos Fernando de Azevedo's late challenge caught a 2 de Julho EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Fernando de Azevedo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th minute, Carlos Fernando de Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Paulo Neves in the 15th minute of play forced 2 de Julho EC's goalkeeper Aloísio Cordeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mathias Ceresso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mathias Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aloísio Cordeiro having to interfere. Falcão Matos charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Falcão Matos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 37 minutes into the game, AtlânticoBBS's Mathias Ceresso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aloísio Cordeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Edu Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandão Arósio in the 46th minute of the match. When Igor de Brito fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AtlânticoBBS's protests and gave Igor de Brito a yellow card for diving instead. Igor de Brito hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half AtlânticoBBS were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Mathias Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Aloísio Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edu Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murilo Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After 55 played minutes AtlânticoBBS got a freekick which was hit by Wiliam Pombal. Edu Gaúcho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Netto in the 56th minute of play. 2 de Julho EC's Aloísio Cordeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias Ceresso in the 58th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Pedro Paulo Neves took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Aloísio Cordeiro to make any attempt to save it. After 75 played minutes Mathias Ceresso rounded 2 de Julho EC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. In the 81st minute, Rony de Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute Igor de Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aloísio Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 2 de Julho EC's Aloísio Cordeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diguinho Furlan in the 88th minute of play. Aloísio Cordeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Paulo Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edu Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Falcão Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. If Mathias Ceresso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AtlânticoBBS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
