Rafinha Linares struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Gabriel Madureira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tacare. Gabriel Madureira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. If Zé Pedro Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Madureira was a little too slow when Rafinha Linares got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 1-5. Tacare's Magno Passos suffered a concussion after 79 minutes and had to leave the field. After a rather tough play, Mauá's Gualter Leal got a free kick in the 80th minute. Carlos Fernando Cabral's late challenge caught a Tacare's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zé Pedro Dantas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Gabriel Madureira made a huge save. In the 95th minute Ciro Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandrinho Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tacare's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
