An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro do Valle in the 11th minute of play forced Sapesal's goalkeeper Kléberson Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Mauro do Valle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Black Sails fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 17th minute, Mauro do Valle made a precise shot to the right of Kléberson Castro. Sapesal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. When Erasmo Vergílio fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Black Sails's protests and gave Erasmo Vergílio a yellow card for diving instead. Erasmo Vergílio kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. If Angelo Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, João Augusto Simões made a precise shot to the right of Kléberson Castro. Sapesal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. 33 minutes into the match, Sapesal's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Vergílio came free, but Kléberson Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th play minute Severino Santana came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Zé Paulo Costa. 1-3. After 41 played minutes Black Sails got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Luz.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valdomiro Zonta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Caio Vides's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zé Paulo Costa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Guga Meireles hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute, Marcelinho Teixeira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kléberson Castro. The goal made the score 1-4. Angelo Luz's late challenge caught a Sapesal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelo Luz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Black Sails getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. César Cearense hit a great ball. Zé Paulo Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caio Vides in the 70th minute of play. Erasmo Vergílio kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. João Augusto Simões hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Angelo Luz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kléberson Castro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Valdomiro Zonta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Paulo Costa having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Mauro do Valle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kléberson Castro was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Severino Santana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Zé Paulo Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Caio Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sapesal's supporters rose to their feet, but Caio Vides was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Paulo Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jorge França scored 2-5 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zé Paulo Costa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cristiano Loureiro hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Sapesal's Kléberson Castro got control of the ball when Angelo Luz tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Black Sails had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
