Valdomiro Zonta scored 0-2 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernardinho de Souza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 11th match minute, Sapesal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dráusio da Silva to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute, Geovânio Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 14 minutes into the game, when Henrique Monteiro put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of Sapesal:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Galo Doido F.C:s goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geovânio Tavares got free with Kléberson Castro in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 22nd match minute, Galo Doido F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedê Figueiredo to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd match minute, Sapesal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inácio de Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. Bernardinho de Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdomiro Zonta in the 27th minute of play. Emanuel de Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Geovânio Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galo Doido F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Geovânio Tavares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kléberson Castro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kléberson Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matheus Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 47 in the game by Geovânio Tavares from a close distance when the talented Kléberson Castro managed to make a qualified save. Sapesal's players were relieved. After the first half Sapesal were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matheus Ramos to strike the kick off in the second half. Felippe de Medeiros hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Galo Doido F.C's zone, Valdomiro Zonta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardinho de Souza came out of the goal and Valdomiro Zonta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 59 played minutes Galo Doido F.C got a freekick which was hit by David Salgado. Inácio de Medeiros struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Bernardinho de Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sapesal. 62 minutes into the game, Dedê Figueiredo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galo Doido F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sapesal the free kick. A sloppy throw-in by Juninho Paraibano in the 67th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Sapesal's Severino Santana. In the 68th minute, Valdomiro Zonta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernardinho de Souza was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. If Matheus Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, Jorge França reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bernardinho de Souza. The goal made the score 1-4. Bernardinho de Souza came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sapesal's Valdomiro Zonta. But to his dismay, Valdomiro Zonta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Severino Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Sapesal could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Galo Doido F.C throughout the match.
