When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Pedro Luiz Vides took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Dalmo de Mendonça to make any attempt to save it. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Esteves's late challenge caught a Apiaca SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Esteves helped the player get up and apologised. João Esteves kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Apiaca SS's Elano de Mendonça slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dalmo de Mendonça. That made the score 3-0 after 31 minutes of play. Dalmo de Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willian Paes in the 36th minute of the match. Dalmo de Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luiz Vides in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luiz Vides in the 38th minute of play forced Anicca FC's goalkeeper Dalmo de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jânio Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elano de Mendonça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Dalmo de Mendonça made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Elano de Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. Apiaca SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Elano de Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dalmo de Mendonça breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jânio Pereira to strike the kick off in the second half. If Elano de Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Luiz Vides in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dalmo de Mendonça saved Anicca FC from getting behind. 59 minutes into the match, Apiaca SS's Elano de Mendonça sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dalmo de Mendonça narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Elano de Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Dalmo de Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Pedro Luiz Vides put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Dalmo de Mendonça. Dalmo de Mendonça stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Luiz Vides's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Anicca FC's goalkeeper Dalmo de Mendonça, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 81 minutes into the game, Caetano Proença was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Elano de Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. Apiaca SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Elano de Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dalmo de Mendonça breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Apiaca SS had played much better football throughout.
