Adalberto Nóbrega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adalberto Nóbrega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego do Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. When Claudinei Schmidt fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Madruga EC's protests and gave Claudinei Schmidt a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Haudax booed when Real Madruga EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinei Schmidt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Natã Torres struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Adalberto Nóbrega didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Haudax. In the 36th minute Diego do Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adalberto Nóbrega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amílton Cavalcante charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amílton Cavalcante the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gualter de Lima stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Betinho Fontes's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. In the 43rdth minute of the game Betinho Fontes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Haudax's Gualter de Lima was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Betinho Fontes to make the kick off. Adalberto Nóbrega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Breckenfeld in the 58th minute of the match. Real Madruga EC's Betinho Fontes got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Natã Torres ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adalberto Nóbrega was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Nico Andrade scored 2-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adalberto Nóbrega, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Adalberto Nóbrega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natã Torres in the 81st minute of play. Fábio Pombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Gualter de Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 94 played minutes Real Madruga EC got a freekick which was hit by Claudinei Schmidt.
