But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Dantas couldn't finish the play. Aírton Munhoz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernandinho de Toledo lost his temper 25 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Renan Montenegro took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aníbal Prata. Aníbal Prata dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Hortêncio Goiano's late challenge caught a St. Katherine s Docks's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hortêncio Goiano helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of St. Katherine s Docks booed when TIU Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. TIU Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erik Sena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. TIU Futebol Clube's Aníbal Prata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Guilherme Pereira in the 41st minute of play. Aírton Munhoz made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Erik Sena sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 46 minutes, Luiz Guilherme Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Clóvis Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot.
