A very good chance. 10 minutes into the match, Taperoa's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Rezende came free, but Válter Meira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13thth minute of the game Eurico Linhares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cipotanea's Perivaldo Sergipano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. César Vides took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Válter Meira. Taperoa's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 18th match minute, Taperoa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doriva Chaves to maneuver through the defense. Dalmo Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Belmiro Faria struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Perivaldo Sergipano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taperoa. Válter Meira guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. If Eurico Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute, Dalmo Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Válter Meira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmo Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. 44 minutes into the match, Dalmo Lima notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Taperoa's Válter Meira. Perivaldo Sergipano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st match minute, Taperoa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Severo to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Berger was extremely unlucky when he, in the 74th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a rather tough play, Taperoa's Eurico Linhares got a free kick in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmo Lima in the 77th minute of play forced Taperoa's goalkeeper Válter Meira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
