Spectators: 5500 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1450, VIP seats: 50) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cícero Veloso got the match started through his kick off. Edvaldo Toledo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cláudio Dionísio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. Cláudio Dionísio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edvaldo Toledo having to make a save. Betinho Silveira's late challenge caught a Rueiros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Betinho Silveira helped the player get up and apologised. Ricardinho Linhares hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Ernani Alcântara had several of the S.E.R. LAÍNI's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 16 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Edvaldo Toledo as he didn't even see the shot coming. Cláudio Dionísio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abel Gerber hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute, Cícero Veloso made a precise shot to the right of Edvaldo Toledo. S.E.R. LAÍNI's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Rueiros's Cláudio Dionísio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edvaldo Toledo. That made the score 4-0 after 30 minutes of play. Cícero Veloso in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Edvaldo Toledo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. José Augusto Motta struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Raimundo Almeida didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E.R. LAÍNI. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Augusto Motta was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Cícero Veloso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rueiros fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cláudio Dionísio in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edvaldo Toledo saved S.E.R. LAÍNI from getting behind. In the 60th match minute, Rueiros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manoel de Sousa to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute Cícero Veloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvaldo Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, Cícero Veloso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Cláudio Dionísio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rueiros's supporters rose to their feet, but Cláudio Dionísio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edvaldo Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edvaldo Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cláudio Dionísio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edvaldo Toledo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cícero Veloso went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. After 80 minutes of play S.E.R. LAÍNI's Betinho Silveira was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 81 played minutes S.E.R. LAÍNI got a freekick which was hit by Betinho Silveira. In the 83rd minute Cláudio Dionísio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvaldo Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edvaldo Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cícero Veloso in the 93rd minute of the match. José Augusto Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Cícero Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Edvaldo Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Rueiros players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
