Lucas Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Massa, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Lucas Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Massa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enio Negri made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Marcel Tróia sent off a good shot on target.

If Juninho Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Tróia in the 93rd minute of play forced Paulina FC's goalkeeper Enio Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 95 played minutes Paulina FC got a freekick which was hit by Tales do Nascimento. In the 97th minute of the match Marcel Tróia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enio Negri skillfully saved the ball. The Paulina FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
