Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Eucalipto EC's Erik Catarinense started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zeca Schmidt was a little too slow when João Pedro de Azevedo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 3rd minute. The score was now 1-0. After 10 played minutes Caldeiroes got a freekick which was hit by Jailson Azevedo. Mário Mello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Falcão Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Eucalipto EC's goal looked a bit too open when João Pedro de Azevedo came free, but Zeca Schmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Falcão Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Valdir Cruz fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eucalipto EC's protests and gave Valdir Cruz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Eucalipto EC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Valdir Cruz hit a great ball. Augusto Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Zeca Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zeca Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Pedro de Azevedo in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Erik Catarinense made a precise shot to the right of Mário Mello. Caldeiroes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Kauã Teles hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Eucalipto EC's Zeca Schmidt got control of the ball when João Pedro de Azevedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. João Pedro de Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Zeca Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Eucalipto EC booed when Caldeiroes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tião Maciel didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Michel Neto came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Eucalipto EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michel Neto couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute Falcão Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mário Mello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erik Catarinense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Orlando Paulista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Zeca Schmidt made a huge save. After 46 played minutes Eucalipto EC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Eduardo Freire. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Pedro de Azevedo made a kick off. Mário Mello stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erik Catarinense's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Zeca Schmidt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Paulista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Eucalipto EC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Kauã Teles hit a great ball. When João Pedro de Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Caldeiroes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Pedro de Azevedo couldn't finish the play. When Caldeiroes's João Pedro de Azevedo in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Falcão Moraes's late challenge caught a Caldeiroes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Falcão Moraes helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Caldeiroes booed when Eucalipto EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Falcão Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Eucalipto EC's zone, Orlando Paulista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeca Schmidt came out of the goal and Orlando Paulista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th minute João Pedro de Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Orlando Paulista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zeca Schmidt was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1.
