The coaching staff of Academia Palestrina protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Vitório Torres had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Academia Palestrina fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! A collision led to Igualdade SC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Gilson Godoi hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Albertinho Monteiro was the one to do the kick off. Vitório Quintal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismael Silveira in the 54th minute of the match. After 54 minutes, Válter Baptista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Academia Palestrina and the Igualdade SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Válter Baptista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 86 played minutes Igualdade SC got a freekick which was hit by Gilson Godoi. Donato Aparecido's late challenge caught a Academia Palestrina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donato Aparecido helped the player get up and apologised. Donato Aparecido kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Ismael Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Igualdade SC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
