After a defensive mix-up in Carlton Blends's zone, Ismael Silveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvinho Baiano came out of the goal and Ismael Silveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 36 played minutes Carlton Blends got a freekick which was hit by Thomás Miranda. 38 minutes into the match, Carlton Blends's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Silveira came free, but Silvinho Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Rony Magalhães came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Igualdade SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rony Magalhães couldn't finish the play. Carlton Blends's Silvinho Baiano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Carlton Blends from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manoel Guedes in the 44th minute of play forced Igualdade SC's goalkeeper Geovânio França to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rony Magalhães in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvinho Baiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 58 played minutes Carlton Blends got a freekick which was hit by Arthur Cerezo.
