In the 16thth minute of the game Reid Julian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Igualdade SC's Geovânio França was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 19th minute, Da Vinci FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rony Magalhães fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 21st minute, Rony Magalhães fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of Da Vinci FC booed when Igualdade SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilson Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reid Julian in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geovânio França saved Igualdade SC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Reid Julian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geovânio França was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. If Ismael Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Reid Julian stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, César Britto fired away a shot on goal. With his leg Geovânio França managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Da Vinci FC's Reid Julian fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Geovânio França showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reid Julian in the 85th minute of the match. Da Vinci FC's César Britto got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 91 minutes into the game, Reid Julian cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Geovânio França was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Geovânio França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reid Julian in the 95th minute of play.
