Alfons Alvarez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hortêncio Amorim having to interfere. Serafim Lima came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Joga 10's Adhemar Mendes. But to his dismay, Adhemar Mendes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Hortêncio Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ivan Kasarda's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. In the 48th minute Ivan Kasarda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Balseiro players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Joga 10 were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ivan Kasarda to make the kick off. Hortêncio Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 68th minute, Ivan Kasarda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Balseiro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After 71 played minutes Balseiro got a freekick which was hit by Oséas Mineiro. The supporters of Balseiro booed when Joga 10 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Téo Dante didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute of the match Alfons Alvarez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hortêncio Amorim showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nildo Maciel made in the 93rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Joga 10's Serafim Neto. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Balseiro were victorious despite being under pressure from Joga 10 for much of the match.
