Gualter de Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Jano Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Narciso Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Real Sociedad's Jano Loyola proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Real Sociedad from getting a goal against them. In the 22nd minute Narciso Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jano Loyola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cássio Peixoto took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulinho Antunes. Paulinho Antunes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Joaquim Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Narciso Moreira in the 34th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. A collision led to Real Sociedad getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Nildo Freitas hit a great ball. In the 38th minute Aos Trancos E Barrancos were awarded a corner. Geraldo das Neves went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Aos Trancos E Barrancos's Geraldo das Neves to fire away a dangerous shot which Jano Loyola despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 45th match minute, Aos Trancos E Barrancos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by César Souto to maneuver through the defense. Paulinho Antunes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cássio Peixoto's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Jano Loyola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aos Trancos E Barrancos. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Sociedad's goalkeeper Jano Loyola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 61 minutes, Cássio Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Sociedad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cássio Peixoto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aos Trancos E Barrancos's Gualter de Salles got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Real Sociedad's zone, Gualter de Salles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jano Loyola came out of the goal and Gualter de Salles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jano Loyola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualter de Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Real Sociedad getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Nildo Freitas hit a great ball. After having played for 82 minutes, Gualter de Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aos Trancos E Barrancos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gualter de Salles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelino Luz in the 85th minute of play forced Aos Trancos E Barrancos's goalkeeper Paulinho Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 86 played minutes Aos Trancos E Barrancos got a freekick which was hit by Luís Fabiano Barros. A hard shot by Thiago Leite from long distance, 88 minutes into the match, got Paulinho Antunes's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Narciso Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jano Loyola having to interfere. Narciso Moreira hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The Real Sociedad players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
