The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 10thth minute of the game Samuel Magalhães who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jesus Salva's Hermínio Arruda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wanderson Cordeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. If Samuel Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Lobos Guara FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Cléberson Leal hit a great ball. Samuel Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermínio Arruda having to interfere. Lobos Guara FC's Samuel Magalhães got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hermínio Arruda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Doriva de Sena in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute Jeremias Valladares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermínio Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samuel Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermínio Arruda having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Jesus Salva's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Magalhães came free, but Hermínio Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Jesus Salva defense, Samuel Magalhães kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hermínio Arruda. The Jesus Salva fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hermínio Arruda should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Allan Gaúcho during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Allan Gaúcho hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Samuel Magalhães struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Hermínio Arruda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lobos Guara FC. Genílson de Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César Simões in the 44th minute of play. Kléber Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Genílson de Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kléber Lucas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wanderson Cordeiro scored 1-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Genílson de Castro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Jeremias Valladares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lobos Guara FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeremias Valladares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hermínio Arruda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Lobos Guara FC's Samuel Magalhães in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 69 minutes of play, Lobos Guara FC's Samuel Magalhães made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hermínio Arruda was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hermínio Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Magalhães, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The supporters of Jesus Salva booed when Lobos Guara FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hermínio Arruda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Samuel Magalhães's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Genílson de Castro was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Kléber Lucas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kléber Lucas really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Genílson de Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kléber Lucas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lobos Guara FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Jesus Salva for a fine match.
