Diguinho Lucas might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilvan Trancoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Diguinho Lucas ran back to his position shaking his head. Diguinho Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Gilvan Trancoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Diguinho Lucas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilvan Trancoso was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. 32 minutes into the match, Medieval Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Nilson Perez came free, but Gilvan Trancoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Medieval Football Club's Gilvan Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilson Perez in the 33rd minute of play. After having played for 35 minutes, Diguinho Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Enio Cearense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After having played for 40 minutes, Fábio Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Medieval Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fábio Mendes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Medieval Football Club booed when Juventus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elano Tróia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 53rd minute, Dudu Corrêa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 54 played minutes, Medieval Football Club's Vitinho Mendes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Enio Cearense came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Medieval Football Club reached it. Nilson Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilvan Trancoso having to interfere. Medieval Football Club's Gilvan Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diguinho Lucas in the 74th minute of play. Fábio Mendes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enio Cearense having to make a save. Enio Cearense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inácio Mello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Medieval Football Club's Gláuber de Mendonça got a free kick in the 90th minute. Nilson Perez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilvan Trancoso having to make a save. After 96 minutes of play, Medieval Football Club's Fábio Mendes made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Enio Cearense was left in no man's land by his defense there!
