Seating: 1668, VIP seats: 144) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Faustão Bertassi got the match started through his kick off. Fábio Fernandes charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fábio Fernandes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fábio Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. The supporters of Lions FC booed when Bentopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeu da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giuseppe Schmidt got free with Ruy Vides in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bentopolis's Faustão Bertassi got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Faustão Bertassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Giuseppe Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Ruy Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giuseppe Sergipano hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Vitório das Neves hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. A collision led to Lions FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Válter Salles hit a great ball. José Paulo Velasco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Ruy Vides made a huge save. Faustão Bertassi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fábio Fernandes to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Fábio Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lions FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fábio Fernandes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emerson Veiga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emerson Veiga made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Gustavo Barreto sent off a good shot on target. When Fellipe Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Lions FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fellipe Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Antônio Carlos Soeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Lions FC's Carlos Fernando Sampaio quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Antônio Carlos Soeiro, made in the 65th minute of the game. In the 65th match minute, Bentopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeu da Silveira to maneuver through the defense. Emerson Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fábio Fernandes in the 75th minute of play. Fábio Fernandes was extremely unlucky when he, in the 77th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A collision led to Bentopolis getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Cesinha Salgado hit a great ball. Fábio Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Emerson Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Bentopolis's Faustão Bertassi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ruy Vides narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 90 minutes into the match, Bentopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Giuseppe Sergipano came free, but Emerson Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, Giuseppe Sergipano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emerson Veiga. Giuseppe Sergipano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Lions FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
