Spectators: 7258 (Terracing: 5445, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 144) The mood of the audience was pleasant when César de Brito made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, César de Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by César de Brito in the 7th minute of play forced Baete's goalkeeper Lauro Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lauro Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adalberto Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the match, Baete's goal looked a bit too open when Mateus Penha came free, but Lauro Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hugo Lopez during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Baete was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Lopez to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute of the match José Carlos Castro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lauro Torres showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Lauro Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César de Brito in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Baete getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Pedro Luiz Pires hit a great ball. In the 26th minute, Walmyr Camargo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the match, Baete's Hugo Lopez broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Mateus Penha put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Lauro Torres. 33 minutes into the match, Baete's goal looked a bit too open when César de Brito came free, but Lauro Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lauro Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kléber Eger, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. It was beautiful to see Baete's Oswaldo Massa in action when he in the 39th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! A collision led to Rio Amazonas Club getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Patrick de Barros hit a great ball. A hard and well directed shot from Hugo Lopez led 41 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Rio Amazonas Club's Aírton Lucas became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateus Penha in the 46th minute of play forced Baete's goalkeeper Lauro Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Baete's goal looked a bit too open when César de Brito came free, but Lauro Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hugo Lopez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mateus Penha struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Lauro Torres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rio Amazonas Club. Lauro Torres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmyr Camargo in the 56th minute of the match. Lauro Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adalberto Ribeiro in the 58th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Rio Amazonas Club's Lauro Torres threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mateus Penha, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Walmyr Camargo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Baete's zone, Mateus Penha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lauro Torres came out of the goal and Mateus Penha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lauro Torres was a little too slow when Mateus Penha got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 1-3. With a little luck, Baete's Lauro Torres got control of the ball when César de Brito tried to sneak it across the goal line. Baete's Lauro Torres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Baete from getting a goal against them. Mateus Penha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baete's Lauro Torres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Baete from getting a goal against them. 83 minutes into the match, Baete's goalkeeper Lauro Torres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mateus Penha. Lauro Torres made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Mateus Penha sent off a good shot on target. Lauro Torres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mateus Penha in the 94th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Rio Amazonas Club left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Baete.
