Spectators: 6200 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1200, VIP seats: 0) Jarbas Salgado's late challenge caught a Caruara SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jarbas Salgado helped the player get up and apologised. Jarbas Salgado kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Ermo EC's Ricardinho Abreu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Ermo EC from getting a goal against them. In the 14th minute of the match Sérgio Neto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valdir Paranaense skillfully saved the ball. Renato Sarmento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir Paranaense having to interfere. If Renato Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 31st minute, Renato Sarmento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Ermo EC booed when Caruara SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raí Campidelis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valdir Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iuri Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Renato Sarmento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Valdir Paranaense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th match minute, Ermo EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarbas Salgado to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilson Bastos got free with Ricardinho Abreu in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Caruara SS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ermo EC were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Renato Sarmento was the one to do the kick off. Valdomiro de Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Ricardinho Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Carlos Leite hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After 58 played minutes Caruara SS got a freekick which was hit by Wilson Bastos. If Renato Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardinho Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Valdir Paranaense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ermo EC's Ricardinho Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilson Bastos in the 77th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ermo EC's Aírton Paulista got a free kick in the 81st minute. After 82 played minutes, Caruara SS's Frédson Magalhães shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ricardinho Abreu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Caruara SS reached it. In the 87th minute, Ronaldo Maciel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caruara SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 95thth minute of the game Valdomiro de Almeida who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ermo EC's Ricardinho Abreu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
