After 12 minutes, Emílio Pontes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Abadia SS and the Bentopolis players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th match minute, Abadia SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emílio Pontes to maneuver through the defense. Emerson Veiga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ian Quintal in the 20th minute. Emerson Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reginaldo Netto in the 24th minute of play. Reginaldo Netto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson Veiga having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Bentopolis eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
